I’m very pleased to be endorsing Dr. Ryan Meili as leader of the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party. I am endorsing Ryan because he shares my belief and commitment to community at the local, provincial, national and global level.

Ryan has always impressed me with his ability to make the links between economic policy, social policy, education policy, health policy. He recognizes that social inclusion is both an economic issue and a human rights issue. He has personally explored these connections by working as a doctor in inner city communities, in rural communities, in northern communities and even in communities in the developing world.

Our strength as a party has been and will be at the community level. Our province has succeeded most when we are making the links with community. Our Future Together requires forward-looking leadership; leadership that can grasp the interconnected complexity of the challenges we face; leadership that can move beyond yesterday's answers to find tomorrow's solutions.
