Former provincial NDP leadership candidate Ryan Meili is seeking the party's nomination in Saskatoon-Sutherland, a riding currently held by the Saskatchewan Party.
Meili, a Saskatoon family doctor, finished second in the 2009 NDP leadership race eventually won by Dwain Lingenfelter.
Meili will make a campaign announcement at the Mackenzie Cole Coffee Shop today at 9:30 a.m.
He's the fourth person to declare in the Saskatoon-Sutherland riding.
Scott Stelmaschuk, a recent University of Saskatchewan graduate, is also seeking the NDP nomination.
He ran unsuccessfully in Saskatoon-Humboldt in the last federal election.
Tax consultant Naveed Anwar and Saskatoon lawyer Rob Dobrohoczki, who works at the Centre for the Study of Co-operatives, also will seek the Saskatoon-Sutherland nomination.
The riding is currently held by Saskatchewan Party MLA Joceline Schriemer. She defeated the NDP incumbent, Graham Addley, in 2007 with 43.84 per cent of the vote, compared the Addley's 40.64 per cent.
The NDP held the riding from 1986 to 2007.
